Hi everyone, I’m Cyber Sai.
Welcome to my first blog post. I am so excited to tell you more about my plans for this blog, but first, let me give you a little background about who I am.
I am a green hat, self-studying cybersecurity student, aiming to make a career shift into cybersecurity.
I thought, why not create a blog about my journey in cybersecurity, from a green hat ethical hacker to a professional cybersecurity expert! Why? Because I am certain that I am not the only person who is currently studying cybersecurity by themselves.
So, I’ll make it fun and interactive, and, in the process build a community of close-knit members that can all learn from each other.
Cybersecurity, in my opinion, is a finite and logical discipline, where you can determine the factors on how to break into something, into known or unknown chunks of information, that with time can be well-documented and repeated.
In other, more meaningful words…
Cybersecurity can be studied and understood, and it doesn’t take a PhD in rocket science to eventually become an expert in it. The drawback is the fast-paced evolution of cybersecurity, but with a dedicated passion and the application of new technologies such as AI, this gap can be bridged.
I chose to pursue a meaningful career in cybersecurity because of the variety of challenges it offers. There will never be a dull moment, and there will always be something new to learn. Another form of learning is to teach, so I get a bonus session by writing blog articles and creating YouTube videos on cybersecurity topics!
I also enjoy being part of a thriving community and giving inputs that uplift its members. Fullfilment box = checked!

What can you look forward to reading at Cyber Sai?
I will be focusing on three aspects of cybersecurity, starting with the highest priority:
- Educational topics – From the basics to the advanced. All of this is for free!
- Tutorials on how to use specific red team cybersecurity tools – There are a lot of tools that help ethical hackers daily to help them discover vulnerabilities.
- News and events – I will be discussing events that I find interesting, such as breaches and more.
The content will be distributed to a platform that best suits its format. For example, I will make video tutorials on cybersecurity tools and post them to YouTube for easy learning. This blog feed will be the centre point for all my activities, so bookmark this site now!
Who is Cyber Sai for?
Cyber Sai will benefit people who are new to cybersecurity and have a curious appetite for breaking into computers and systems as an ethical hacker. The content will also focus on why certain systems and infrastructure are vulnerable and how to fix them. At the end of the day, we aim to make society a better place with the knowledge that we will learn here.
What benefits does Cyber Sai offer you?
Above all, you’ll be learning cybersecurity alongside me and other community members. Let’s call this the accountability incentive, where we will all keep each other accountable for developing a healthy habit of learning.
You will also be learning in-depth techniques and thought processes on how to use tools and approach challenging obstacles in cybersecurity.
If you are like me when I started learning cybersecurity, there’s a good chance that all of this seems very new to you. Just doing a simple search online inundates you with a gigaton of cybersecurity advice, with no guidance whatsoever on where to begin. This will be the best place to start.
I will be posting a variety of articles that will boost your knowledge and skills in cybersecurity. Some of these include how to use some of the most common tools, best professional practices as an ethical hacker, and advice on which skills to learn first when making a career shift.
This blog will evolve over time.
As I cannot read your minds… yet, I will continuously improve this blog to suit the preferences of the community. The changes that will occur will vary depending on the interests shown by you.
Articles and videos will be posted intermittently for the moment, as I am still developing an efficient framework for delivering wholesome content that you will enjoy reading and watching.
